Coming out of Sheffield and London making a whole lot of noise is Godsfavoritecharacters and the band have just dropped their melodic new cut, "alien".
Everything that you hear is all kept in house by the band - recording, mastering and writing (and so forth) - and the latest track is less of the heavier sound their fans have come to know them by, but more of a relaxing, atmospheric slice of alt-rock.
A great example of relaxing atmospheric rock.
The track can easily sound like Biffy Clyro would cook up in their early days, it's dark, filled with swirling guitars and moody vocals. Even though the track comes in at 110 seconds long it really wowed me over on the first listen.
