Track of the day... I Dream In Colour - If You

I Dream In Colour is a lovely band from Essex, they are Richard Judge (Vocals, Guitar, Piano), Peter Judge (Drums), Michael Thackeray (Guitars) and Steve Daniels (Bass). They released their début EP, 'The Boiler Room', in August 2010. It was produced by Iain Gore (Mystery Jets, Libertines) the EP went on to receive rave reviews from Internet bloggers and the likes of BBC 6 Music, Fly Magazine and The Evening Standard.

I Dream In Colour spent their summer tearing up UK festivals such as The Great Escape, The Camden Crawl and Standon Calling. The band released their new single, 'If You', on Monday 4th of October 2010, as a free download and embarked on a UK tour which included sold out shows in Portsmouth, London and back at home in Essex. Coincidentally 'If You' is the track of the day. Below is a description of why this is my track of the day today.

It starts off with a light tumbling guitar and calm vocals Richard effortlessly layers on top. The drum beat kicks in and the guitar becomes louder but not too loud as this track is gentile yet fast enough to bob your head to. The chorus really does remind me of General Fiasco and oh dear god, that's a good thing. Even the vocals and breakdown are uncannily like General Fiasco.

After the breakdown the song picks up again and sends you into amazement once more, this is one of the brilliant things about reviewing Indie bands. How more people don't them is just silly, seriously, download it now. Its Free! This is what Indie is all about, bands like this, just brilliant!
