Single Review... Dutch Uncles - Face In

This single by Dutch Uncles is a re-release of their very successful song, 'Face In'. The band will be touring the UK in late February. This single will be released on Memphis Industries on 28 Feb. What follows is the band’s second album, which is due to be released in April this year.

Face In:
Face In was re-mastered. The iconic guitar riff which opens the track is clearly quietened. The vocals on this re-mastered version sounds more laid-back. This appears to be a softer version of the original take. I genuinely do prefer the original version, but this does not disappoint, not at the very least.

Jinx:
When your mind is still processing Face In and trying to play an aural version of “spot the difference”, Jinx acts as the coffee beans one sniffs after having smelt tonnes of scents. It goes incredibly well with its A-side, and does not outshine the main piece. I adore the progression of this track, you will find yourself nodding at start and moving your body along this tune as it goes on.Lastly, I spotted a very coincident thing about this single - is that the two tracks are actually of the same length.
