The Routine unveil their cracking new tune, "Don't Give Me Hope"

Local legends on the Cambridge music scene - The Routine - today unveil their cracking new tune, "Don't Give Me Hope". The single comes in a long line of tracks the band has dropped since they first burst onto the scene in 2021. "Don't Give Me Hope" may just be their most powerful one to date with some vocals that dominate your ears, they're so deep and brooding you may find yourself quivering when listening to it. As the track progresses some soaring guitar tones roll in, giving the listener a great chance to once again delve deep into a delicious riff, something that they're getting a name for as of late. This new cut is certainly a bit heavier than their previous tracks, but it may signify a new direction for the band - which I'm sure people will love.

Spy From Moscow releases their new single, "Whispering In The Walls"

Back with his second single of the year is London-based singer-songwriter Spy From Moscow, the new cut - "Whispering In The Walls" - was released just a few days ago, and it's already winning us over. Spy From Moscow does not hangs about and the track delves deep into your ears right away with a dark sounding guitar tone twanging away, and it's not long after his smooth and soulful vocals roll over. ... it's absolutely fantastic and a real treat for your ears. I get some slight Radiohead tones from the sound of the song, mixed in with some late 90s grunge for good measure. The harmonies especially in the first third of the song hooked me in with intrigue, and it's the soaring Oasis-style guitars that confirmed my interest. Chords Of Indigo releases their new single , "The Death Of Me"

Today marks the day that Chords Of Indigo releases their smooth new single , "The Death Of Me". The new cut acts as their fourth outing of the year and I have to admit this, the track won me over within the first 10 seconds. Nostalgic acoustic-rock mixed with some deep folk tones. It's an incredibly warm piece with a strong and twanging guitar opening up the track with a simplistic (but effective) drumbeat. Vocally this is so dreamy, perfect for those hazy mornings in Autumn while driving to work. This song to me has me imagining rolling fields and wildlife flourishing, with a strong Ben Howard tone underlining it all. Chords of Indigo is one of those acts based out of Manchester that's going to be slowly but surely getting more attention as every day passes, and this could be the track that get's hi breaking out of his scene into the beyond.

Robots in Love shares haunting new cut, "Gossip In Your Head"

Coming out of Dunedin in New Zealand is dark-pop act Robots in Love, and the quartet have recently dropped their atmospheric new single. If you're a fan of cinematic offerings that can take you into the deepest depths of your mind then this may just be for you. The blend of chanting vocals that straddle the lines of angelic and haunting in the background really got me hooked, it's almost like it's enticing you further into the song. The big and bold instrumentation the song possesses reminds me of Massive Attack in places too.

TaughtMe reveals their new single, "When I Calm Down"

Bursting out of the Oakland, CA music scene is TaughtMe and recently has seen them reveal their powerful new single, "When I Calm Down". Originally from Utah the musician is no stranger to captivating music that's vocally lead, if you listen to his previous track "Laugh on Me" you can hear his tones soaring high, and this new track is more of the same. Possibly the next Thom Yorke-type musician to come out of the states. Speaking about the track TaughtMe says - " ... "When I Calm Down" is a song about spiritual asphyxiation. It begins with scenes of tranquility and safety then suddenly pivots into gusts of desperation. Eventually, after a lengthy struggle, it ends with relief." The fragile sounds heard reminds me of a certain Thom Yorke in places, and when you also consider the bold production levels and big sounds within you can't help compare him against the legendary British singer-songwriter.
