Introducing... Story Books

Story Books are from the quite amazing area of Kent, the local scene down there has been rejuvenated recently thanks to NME giving The Forum in Tunbridge-Wells an accolade that a lot of venues are after, "The Best Small Venue". The band I’m on about suits the venue down to everything, striving to be the best; they clearly have a segment of history earmarked for them! From the early days of the band they've done everything right, and last year they managed to get to be the opening act for Bloc Party's first London show in 3 years!

Now about their material, their song "All Those Arrows" has everything about it that a record label seeks, distinctive vocals yet not too annoying, a captivating chorus, and an amazing band behind the vocals driving it forwards into the consciousness of the masses. As well as that they've got a teaser for their upcoming EP "Simple Kids" showcases them in all their glory. They’ve also got two demos currently up on their Soundcloud account, and "Damage" seems to be right up there with the early Coldplay songs, amazing, fresh and crisp. The guitar tones remind me of early Snow Patrol and the song reminds me of U2. They surely have the future in their hands, I’ll be keeping a close eye on them, and you should too!

You can check out their latest track "Simple Kinds" just below this. The song is taken from the new EP "Too Much A Hunter" which is released April 29th via Communion Records
