iTunes Festival 2013 - What gigs to apply for

Hurray, it’s September again! Apart from darker days and chequered leaves, this means one month packed with amazing acts taking place right in the middle of London. The iTunes Festival 2013 rocks The Roundhouse in Camden the whole thirty days.

But behind the huge media attention that Gaga, Thicke or Timberlake get, there are also some alleged minor acts you should not dare to miss. Here are the most essential dates:

2nd:

September After the ‘Swinfest’ kicks off on Sunday there is already the next highlight. The American band Poliça hits the stage with Sigur Rós and combines indie rock with an interesting touch of synthpop.

3rd: September Hey Ho! The Lumineers are set to entertain the London folks with lots of high- quality folk.

4th: September Fenech-Soler transports new dance beats and indie-synth to you so you can hit the floor via live stream even in the living room.

7th: September The weekend offers a massive line up. On Saturday there are Phoenix and Little Green Cars which surely will rock the Roundhouse.

8th: September Sunday stages by now well-known indietronica sensation Bastille supported by the brilliant The 1975 which might be the secret highlight of the whole iTunes Festival.

9th: September For blues heads we recommend Drenge right before the Arctic Monkeys. You won’t regret it.

21st: September Another date to take a note of! On one night you get HAIM playing tracks from their highly anticipated album, twenty-year-old acoustic singer Gabrielle Aplin, as well as Bipolar Sunshine and Dan Croll on one stage.

You can find the whole programme here (http://www.itunesfestival.com/) with additional information and how you can win tickets. Those who cannot be around or did not have enough luck to win some tickets: no need to worry! All concerts will be aired via live stream by, of surprise... by iTunes.
