Introducing... The Mispers

The Mispers are a five-piece band from London. They are Zane Lowe's Next Hype on BBC Radio 1 and are also a part of 'Next Wave Class of 2014' list by the Clash Magazine. Why is it so?

I listened to a few of their tracks on SoundCloud and I immediately liked their alt-rock sound. The first track I gave it a listen was "Brother" which was released just a couple of days ago. It starts with acoustic guitar riff and  a violin. A folk-rock band then? Not really. When the drums and electric guitar kick I almost instantly connected them with Foals because of the kinda palm-muted reverb enhanced guitar. After the first chorus comes a bit that I quite like, because it reminds me of Moats. The verse after it is different and gets you in some kind of groove because of the drums. Towards the end I found myself lightly moving my head according to the beat and I must say that I liked it. Now I can see what the hype around this band is and I support it strongly. So, give it a listen to get trapped in music by this awesome band.
