First Glastonbury 2016 act has been announced

Amsterdam’s Heineken Music Hall has apparently let slip that legendary US rockers ZZ Top will make an appearance at this summer’s Glastonbury, as part of their June & July Hell Raisers Tour, possibly in the legends slot.


The venue’s website discusses 20 dates over the course of the two months (including a spot in Pilton):
"ZZ Top is in June and July 2016 for 20 concerts, which are all part of their new roadshow to Europe . The Hell Raisers Tour kicks off in Birmingham to travel further then to the renowned Glastonbury Festival in Pilton . Then the band to mainland Europe is going to include performances in France , the Netherlands, Germany , Austria, Denmark , Finland, Sweden , Belgium and the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland where they recorded their DVD ” Live at Montreux 2013"
