You might not think on paper that the anguished thrash of New Yorkers The Walkmen’s 2004 single The Rat would lend itself to an eerie acoustic guitar and quivering strings, but to listen to it unfurl on record is breath-taking. The acoustic video for this poignant cover, shot in an abandoned church is a beautiful reflection of Adam’s ethereal version.
Adam says "The Rat soundtracked a lot of my youth, and it's at least half responsible for me wanting to start writing music and become a recording artist. The Walkmen are immortal and that track holds so many memories for the people that fell in love with it as I did."
