Born Stranger go stripped back in powerful indie-pop track, ‘Pain’ [IAI PREMIERE]

Electro-pop duo Born Stranger has gone strength to strength releasing single after single the past two years and their latest, ‘Pain’ is no exception to their critical output.

A track that lends its hand to upcoming singer-songwriter Vivienne Chi and co-production efforts from Yoad Nevo (Sia, Pet Shop Boys), ‘Pain’ is a slick modern pop track that conveys a powerful lyrical attitude. The duo’s recognised sound of slick vocal hooks and afrobeat rhythms, all provide a great atmosphere within seconds.

We premiere the acoustic version of the track, where Maddox Jones’ adds a much more personal atmosphere and a powerful alertness to the love-story.

Born Stranger vocalist, Maddox comments more about the track.. "Pain is something we've all felt. There's a certain romance to the pain of having your heart broken for the first time. It hurts but it’s exciting and all consuming. When you've felt it once it'll never feel the same again, the more you feel it the more numb you become. This is a song for anyone who craves the reckless innocence of falling in love for the first time."
