East Anglia's AMETHYSTS have revealed the second half of their double A-side single, "Imitate Me", with the band saying " ... "Imitate Me" delves into the cut throat world of the music industry. This is our first diss track. It alludes to the competitive side of the industry, and how often ego's get in the way, and bands try to get one up on each other, instead of working together to make the scene a nicer place."
I'd have to agree with them on that, everyone is trying to get one up on each other, one way or another, but at the end talent shines through. So a why not a quick review of the track then? It's by far one of their most upbeat tracks, with a pulsating drumbeat and tropical flavoured guitar tones very prominent throughout I'm really liking this effort by the duo, more diss tracks please!
