[TRACK OF THE WEEK] Handstand Parade - Draped In Gold

"Draped In Gold" is the first single from Reading's very own Handstand Parade, lifted off their second EP "Who Loves You Now". The EP being recorded at RYP Recordings by Michael Smith, who's famous for his work with Wolf Alice and Honey Lung. With the band getting some serious airtime thanks to their previous single "Beloved" they're now back with an even better track that'll certainly get you wanting to stick it onto your playlists.

It's got some amazing guitar tones and sing-a-long vocals that makes you feel like you're back in the glory days of the 1990's, summery, upbeat and full of punch with the synths providing you an extra layer of noise to dissect. The band say - "The song tells a sad story but its one they hope you’ll dance to, drink in hand, while you sing about your heartbreaks and ones that got away."

Handstand Parade have really crafted a infectious track, and with the band already playing The Great Escape and Sound City in Liverpool this year, it won't be long until they'll be heading to the bigger festivals and headlining some stages. Be sure to keep a close eye on Handstand Parade, and don't forget to follow them on the socials, something big's going to happen to them for sure!
