And after doing the rounds on numerous new music blogs, he kicks off his new year with the official video for his latest track.
What stands out most about ‘Monsters’ is its shape-shifting appeal. While its introduction and verses see him adopt a smooth and sombre persona, it is in the chorus where the song truly comes to life. Swapping out the lo-fi grooves for a bold and empathic hook, the single sees him channel the same broad and ear-catching aesthetic that have proven such a hit-maker for artists like Ben Howard and Vance Joy in recent years.
It may still be early days for the emerging frontman, but with tracks like these coming out at an almost unstoppable pace, it is clear that 2020 is looking very bright for him indeed.
