Neon Dreams drop dreamy new single "Sick of Feeling Useless"

The Halifax based duo of Neon Dreams have recently released their dreamy new single "Sick of Feeling Useless", which is the outfit's second track since the band's most viral track, "Turn Back Now", which has since gone on to get them a whopping 600k streams on Spotify.

"Sick of Feeling Useless" gives us a strong vibe from Bloc Party's second album with the guitar tones, the pop sensibilities in the chorus of Imagine Dragons and relatable lyrics that you'll end up singing all day!

Speaking about the track, vocalist Frank says - "Before every session, we try to talk about how we’re feeling. At this point, before the song was made, we were discussing with our good friend and collaborator Nathaniel Motte from the band 3OH3! about how it’s easy to feel helpless...like nothing we do matters that much. Then Nat said ‘ya know...I think everyone is just sick of feeling useless.’ It hit so hard with me because I felt that way my whole life growing up, I felt useless until I broke out of my shell...if my fans are different versions of me this is the biggest thing that connects us on this island of misfit toys. People that feel like they don’t matter in this world and are constantly searching for a place to belong, a place that makes them feel like a kid again."

The guitars in the background after the first chorus are a delight top hear, very light but if you listen they're there, it's dreamy as anything. The change of pace when the second chorus hits is a nice turn of pace as the band are not ones to stick to a trend, especially when it comes down to the guitar instrumental breakdown - my gosh that gave me chills.

The duo have made a fantastic track here, no question about it, and if "Sick of Feeling Useless" is the latest from them we can't wait for an album's worth of tunes such as this. Keep an eye out for Neon Dreams as we feel like they could be the next big indie-pop/rock band to break out of the USA if they keep producing songs such as this.
