Having played one of our 'Isolation' gigs back when Covid had us all locked down we asked some of our favourite unsigned artists to perform for us, and one of those was the fantastic Teenage Waitress. Today see's the premiere of his new tune I'm Leaving Berlin".
The new cut was written and performed by Teenage Waitress (aka Daniel Ash) and was produced by Mike Bissett. This is the fourth song the Southampton based singer-songwriter has released this year and it sounds like a Tame Impala tune mixed with some The Last Shadow Puppets style guitar.
With love from Radio X and BBC London already this year the new track, "I'm Leaving Berlin" is set for release via Colorama Records on 10th July - but you have a sneak 10 day preview right here!
Daniel says - " ... "I'm Leaving Berlin" was one of the last numbers written for the record. I was listening to The Magnetic Fields '69 Love Songs' and thought I'd have a go at writing Love Song number 70. It took me about 200 years to nail the guitar parts so I'd like to thank my producer Mike Bissett for not throwing me out the window during the recording process, I know I would have. The song itself is about a few things but I think I'll let the listeners join the dots on that one."
