Fall in love with Senator's smooth debut track "Makingmoves"

We have fallen in love with Senator's smooth debut track "Makingmoves", and after hearing the soft vocal tones from the off we knew we'd be listening to this a lot.

Hailing from Virginia Beach in the USA the band is comprised of two friends, Gary (Guitar/Keys/Vocals) and Josh (Guitar/Bass) who met way back in 2nd Grade while at the same elementary school and started making noises together at the age of 10 years old.

As we previously mentioned, the track is their debut effort, and as far as we can tell it's a stunner from  the first second.

The wash of synths and clean drums welcome you in and gives you a smooth intro to the world of Senator, not long before Gary's vocals croon in and lull you into a partial slumber as you're taken away with him on a gentle breezy ride.

There's a lot of influences swirling around here, from the likes of Men I Trust to the more noticeable Real Estate vibes the duo give off, the track is breezy, surfy and full of textures you can't help but try and touch.

The single was released just least month on the 4th of July and has since got well over 25,000 plays on Spotify, not too shabby for a debut track from a new act from Virginia, by the sounds of the warm guitars you'd be expected to think they're from California - but with their influences shining through with their delicate approach, sweet vocal harmonies and shimmering production the track gives you a long lasting impression.

The duo have another new single out as of August 10th called "Sparkle" and is another teaser leading up to the release of their debut EP in September.
