Hailing out of Bristol Milo Gore today shares the ever so crisp and rushing new single "Midnight Club", which acts as his first cut to be released following on from a rather fruititous 2020. The last year saw him get nominated as a 'One To Watch' by those lovely people at Wonderland Mag.
Milo also has supported the likes of BLOXX, William The Conqueror and also Penelope Isles in 2020 (before lockdown happened), but in those few gigs it looks like the Bristolian has gained a loyal fanbase, and we can easily hear why.
... it's obvious that the track is a shimmering indie-pop track that'll head straight into your playlists in a heartbeat!
"Midnight Club" sounds like The Maccabees in their prime as his vocals remind me of a young Orlando Weeks, but with a smidge more urgency. The guitar tones are crisp and flavourful with my ears picking up a Sam Fender vibe. There's one thing he has done here well is help to bring out all of the glowing tones he has laid down, just glorious isn't it!
Speaking about the new tune the singer-songwriter mentions - " ... Looking back to when I wrote this song, you can clearly see that I was torn between two very different mindsets - 'Live fast, die young', and/or 'Grow up.' It's hard to say where I've landed now. This song definitely makes me reflect on my youth, reckless or not."
With a team behind him consisting of Producer Pete Prokopiw (Mumford & Sons), Mixing Engineer Andy Savours (The Killers) and Mastering Engineer Guy Davie (Jamie T), it's obvious that the track is a shimmering indie-pop track that'll head straight into your playlists in a heartbeat!
