Manchester is well known all over the UK - and the world - as a great place to find inspiring new Rock music, we've had none other than Oasis come out of the city and ROLLA sounds like they're going to be the next band on the rise.
Today ROLLA have dropped their new AA-side single " No Violence" / "Show Me", which sounds like a big statement from the band, as not a lot of acts even do b-sides anymore, let alone release two singles in one go, and being from Manchester they're not messing about.
If they sound as good live as they do in the studio we might have the next Rock-n-Roll stars right here.
One thing's for sure as we kick things off, "No Violence" sounds just as big as anything Oasis has ever come up with, with some Brit-Pop-inspired guitar hooks and a driving backline that gives us the chills. The other tune, "Show Me", is more of a slower tune compared to the first one, but not by much. We've got a smattering of Baggy influence here with some tambourine being heard at the start of the track, and once again those big vocals complimenting the huge and chunky guitars.
What ROLLA has done is cement their name in your brain, and will certainly be an act to keep a very close eye on once live music starts up again in the UK. If they sound as good live as they do in the studio we might have the next Rock-n-Roll stars right here. If you're a fan of DMAs, Oasis, and even The Courteeners then ROLLA is for you!
