Hailing from a bunch of small villages in Fife, Scotland, Sunstinger today has unveiled their incredible epic and soaring new single "Shadows".
The new single follows on from their 2020 single "Nothing's Alright, Leave Me Alone", and once again showcases the band at their peak.
What Sunstinger has achieved here is a track that sends its guitars and vocals into the upper atmosphere, it's a track that'll have you fall in love with it once the first chorus has been and gone.
The track was actually written by Taylor when he was 17, "Shadows", speaking about the band say "[The song] is about being stuck in a cycle, temptations and how the choices you make impact who you become."
The shoegaze riffs really do remind me of another fellow Scottish indie band, Holy Esque and Racing Glaciers with their wallowing wall of guitars, but mixed in with enough influence of Joy Division to give it a dark edge.

The band has already gained love to them on the airwaves via BBC Scotland and XS Manchester with their releases getting more and more plays each time out. Thankfully there is much more coming from this rising Scottish outfit, they've got an EP due out later on this year called "Beyond The Frame", hopefully, backed up by a Winter UK tour - so keep an eye out for tour dates!
