The Nu drops soaring single "Downfall"

Birmingham based The Nu is one of the rising acts on the Brummy scene at the moment, with him (yes it's a project of a singer-songwriter, more of that later) getting nominated for FOUR awards at the 2020 Birmingham Music Awards, amongst the nominations for Best Band and Best Song, so there is no doubt of his credentials.

Sounds like a blend of late 00's Enter Shikari mixed with the urgency of Bring Me The Horizon's latest work, with lots of nods towards Muse with the thick basslines.

The Nu is the project of a single guy who has some pretty big ambitions, but let's be honest, if you don't think big then go home - am I right? The project draws inspiration from INXS and Crystal Castles to name just two and the sound is a blend of those, with some current 2020's elements too.

Since the project's inception, The Nu has gained accolades from BBC Introducing West Midlands and the aforementioned BMA nominations. The Nu has also supported Swim Deep and Deco plus selling out 2 consecutive nights at The Dark Horse during the pandemic, the future is looking bright for the Birmingham-based outfit.
