Bursting out of The North of England, Gatedhead's Elephant Memoirs have unveiled their new single "Ordinary Life", which acts as their second of the year following on from "Fairytales".
Having been releasing music since 2015 the band has refined their sound down and are now exploring new ways to get the attention of their fans it seems. This gentle new number is far from their crunching sound that their fans now, but this has definitely got our attention.
It opens with a bright acoustic guitar and once the rest of the band comes in it sounds like a mix of an Oasis song and Manic Street Preachers. Even though the song is well under three minutes you're hooked from the first few seconds right to the end. It really does sound like they're now wanting to showcase everything they're about, so if you're in the North East of England and see their name on a bill, do and check them out!
