London singer-songwriter Serena Clara sounds like she has come of age with her fantastic new track, "Motherlove". The new track is officially her debut single - although checking out her Soundcloud we see she's been working hard on her music over the past 6 years.
Her vocals are the highlight for me on this track, with a wide range of vocal tones helping to keep the listener on their toes. Musically the track sounds like a blend between James Black, Grimes' slower music, and Four Tet with some of the electronic instrumentation.
"Motherlove" is one of those tracks that charms you from the first listen, and even though it comes in under the three-minute mark you feel like you're well acquainted with the talent of Serena by the time the track fades away.
