Jon Sandman shares heartwarming single, "Dear Friends"

Early in the morning on the 25th of February saw the release of Jon Sandman's amazing new single, "Dear Friends". The single follows from his 2021 single "Still Life" and becomes his seventh release since the Oxford based singer-songwriter started dropping his music back in 2020.

The single has lots of nods towards classic 90's rock music, and with a subtle grunge vibe that rounds the track out it's a proper rock tune to stick on ad get lost in.

Speaking about the track Jon mentions - "Like so many others in the wake of recent events, I became closed off from the outside world, and neglected some of the most important people in my life - my friends, my family, my partner. This isn't the first time I've felt this way. I actually wrote 'Dear Friends' back in 2017, when I started to grow apart from some of my closest friends from university, as we all went our separate ways. It was very lonely."

"Dear Friends" is by far one of the bets pieces of music Jon has released, and it shows what he is capable of when it comes to writing an out and out rock anthem. It'd five minutes of soaring guitars and soothing vocals which hook you in, and by the time it's over five minutes have passed and all you want to do is press play once more.

"Dear Friends" acts as the first single from Jon's upcoming EP, "Spooky Action at a Distance"
