London based quartet, The White Russian has shared their eclectic new single "You Are", which comes hot off the heels of their debut outing "Cancer Knee"
The song has dark and brooding melodies all wrapped in soft vocals that remind us of Ben Howard's finest tracks and Grizzly Bear's work, in fact I'd go as far to say this is better than anything Ben's ever made.
"You Are" has warm guitar tones behind the layer of acoustic guitars, and when the ticking tones come in the track gains body and becomes as rich as a perfectly aged bottle of Primitivo. The White Russian started out as a musical project of Suffolk born, London based singer songwriter Joseph Giffard Tutt, now bvacked with a full band to bring his ideas to life.
With over 4,000 monthly listeners off the back of the debut single the trajectory here could be taking him to the moon! Speaking about the song Joseph mentions "I've had periods of feeling disassociated from my body and from a normal reality, it has felt like my life may as well have been a dream."
If you're a Londoner, or are in the capital on the 12th of march The White Russian will launch the brand new EP - which this is lifted from - with a show at The Old Church in Stoke Newington, London on 12th March.
