Birmingham based trio, DAME, have returned with their vibrant new single, "Be There", which follows on from their 2021 single "Bite".
A whole year has nearly passed between their previous release and this one, but from the sounds of it, the wait was worth it.
"Be There" has a slow intro with Shannon's amazingly smooth vocals, silky bass and guitars paving the way forwards. There's a teasing build up there before it breaks down into just bass and vocals before bursting right into life after the minute mark. Talk about teasing the fans, as when this really gets going it's a summer anthem in the waiting.
Speaking about the song, lead singer Shannon mentions - " ... "Be There" is a fun and flirty poptimistic anthem about having the confidence to vocalise your desires and set your intentions straight. It's a response to the unspoken lust between two people who are playing games and waiting to see who makes the first move."
If you're a fan of Fickle Friends then DAME is certainly an outfit you'll love from the first play. A whole year has nearly passed between "Bite" - their last single - and this one, but from the sounds of it, the wait was worth it.
