It's always a good day when we have Brighton based The Rapports new music on the site. Their new cut "Wanna Be" is their first single since 2020's single "Dreamer" and is a mighty fine return to form. The quartet have found their way into a handful of playlists which has helped them get their name out there, as well s being picked to play the legendary Great Escape Festival in their hometown.

So the new tune is the first slice of music lifted off their debut album - which is penciled in for Autumn 2022. Musically it reminds me of The Fratellis and vocally even better if I'm allowed to even say that - heck, I am. The guitar tones in this song are so welcoming and warm, with the drum backing it all up it's got a slight danceability there too, aiming for the big stages I feel!
It's so damn uplifting I feel like I could float away in places. It's a vibrant Indie-Rock track that incorporates all of the best parts of their influences and showcases that The Rapports are aiming for the big time.
As mentioned they're releasing their debut album later on this year, and if this song is a teaser then my goodness the rest of it will be cracking!
