Dundee singer-songwriter Jamie Button last week shared his newest single, "Whatever Happened to Adventure?". The single is his first release of 2022 and follows on from his much-loved single, "Strange Saints", which dropped in 2021.
The wait between songs might be longer than expected, but this comes along with the news that Jamie Button is gearing up for a debut album. Titled "Lost in local Life" it's slated for a September release with an album launch show at the legendary King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow.
"Whatever Happened to Adventure?" acts as a mark of huge intent, lots of deep guitar tones and his anthemic and sing-a-long worthy vocals both get you seriously hyped up. The tempo of the song is frantic, and with the crashing drums filling up your ears throughout it's a cut that'll make you hum it back by the end of the first play, it's that addictive.
Having a proven track record with his live shows and back catalogue, I'm sure his debut album will kick some ass when it drops!
