Nottingham dream-pop outfit Express Office Portico earlier on this month, "Cosmic Joke" is that track and it sounds like the quintet are looking to build off the success of a trio of tunes they released last year.
Having formed in the pandemic via an online advert members Tara Freeman, Billy Townsend, Reuben Tobolewski, Ben Phipps and Olly Walton came together to create some honestly smooth dream-pop tracks with warm vocal melodies.
The latest track is as spacey as the track's title, with smooth synths being featured throughout the song with enough cowbell to easily win me over. Combine that with some sexy guitar tones and crisp and melting vocals and "Cosmic Joke" comes to life. With shows up and down the UK as well as festival slots they've been featured on BBC Introducing too - so the hype train is going, so why not jump on board now!
