Late last month Australian singer-songwriter Prudns shared her eclectic new single "WYSML (What You Say My Love)", with the single being her first proper release of 2022 following on from the demo version of her debut single getting a release.
"WYSML (What You Say My Love)" is one of those tracks that you really can't pigeonhole, it's nearly five minutes of pure eargasm if you ask me. There are some experimental elements in the song, slick synth lines and a drumbeat that's yearning to have you nod your head with appreciation.
It's a bit like Everything Everything and Grimes met to cover a Jungle track with the addition of sexy horns. There are loads of genres and sub-genres to get your head around. "WYSML (What You Say My Love)" could quite easily be one of the finest tracks we've heard from Australia in the past few months - you need to listen to it from start to finish to appreciate it.
