Bursting out of Penryn, Cornwall (yes it's in the UK) is an amazing new act, KLEN. They're a four-piece who are today releasing their very first slice of music, and my goodness what a thrill it is. "Down The Pen" combines all of the good bits of early 00's indie-rock with a punk edge mixed in with grunge rushes.
Vocally it's incredibly urgent and with the shouty backing vocals adding more depth to the track you feel like you're up against a wall in East London getting roughed up before a football match. The instrumentation here is insane with the guitars filling up every second of the track with funky punk tones much like how marmite fills every hole in a crumpet, sticky and sexy.
