Homes At Night last month revealed their charming new track, "Tell Emma", the new offering is the Nashville act's second single following on from their strong debut single "Bonnaroo". The duo have already found their music being playlisted by several curators over the blogging world as well as placements in Spotify Editorials, not bad for a band that's been releasing music for less than a year.
"Tell Emma" is a wonderful track by an equally wonderful new act who's getting ready for the big time it seems!
"Tell Emma" is the sort of track that you'll warm up to very quickly, reason being is that the sound they've crafted is equally nostalgic and fresh. Instrumentally its reminiscent of the late 90's post-grunge sound, mixed in with some post-punk revival tones added in to get more people hooked onto their sounds.
Vocally it's strong with some wonderful oohs and ahs laced here and there, it's especially strong in the breakdown helping to almost concrete themselves into your consciousness forever. "Tell Emma" is a wonderful track by an equally wonderful new act who's getting ready for the big time it seems!
Speaking about the track the band says " ... "Tell Emma" is a song we wrote with our friend Louis Johnson, who also helped produce the track. The song came about from me being avoidant with a relationship that I knew needed to end but I just didn’t know how to cut it off."
The track is out now, and expect to hear much more from them in the coming months - so be sure to follow them on the social channels (and Spotify!).
