Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Blake Collins has returned with charming new single, "You've Been On My Mind". The new offering is his fourth single to be lifted from his forthcoming album "There's Nowhere Like Here" and it sounds like something The Beatles if they jammed with The Beach Boys.
With a vibrant vocal tone shining down on the instrumentation it's safe to say that "You've Been On My Mind" will get anyone out of a funk and into a groove.
With the new track being his first release since his 2021 single "I'm Not Gonna Take it Anymore" there now seems to be more hype thrown his way as the new single is a charming offering that I'm sure everyone will love.
As mentioned it reminds me of the soothing vocals and retro tones of The Beatles mixed with sun-kissed surf melodies found in The beach Boys' work. The drumbeat here is one of the key ingredients as to why I found myself tapping my foot like I've had a gallon of coffee, the blend of tambourine and drums is just infectious.
