TOKEO drop first track since 2020, "I.A.F.D"

Hailing from Manchester - technically Rochdale - is TOKEO, and the quintet have burst back onto the scene with their first single since 2020's "Gang War".

"I.A.F.D" is the new offering and bursts with energy right form the outset, instantly you're welcomed in with some bright and punk infused guitar tones - something reminiscent of the revival scene in the late 2000s. For me the track sounds a blend of Enter Shikari and the angst of IDLES.

For us we love this side of rock from time to time, and "I.A.F.D" is a collection of a handful of charging rock genres that will definitely get you moshing in no time.

It's a very vocally charged track with lots of vocal hooks that'll have you shouting the lyrics back in no time. The backline is very tight throughout and can easily tear apart your speaker set-up in your car if you're not careful.

Speaking about the song, vocalist Rory mentions - "The name of this song compares people who use cocaine in pubs to human dodgems, navigating a night out bumping into different social situations. Some of us know this person, some of us have seen this person and some of us have been this person”. This is why the lyrics of this song cover the internal monologue of someone finding themselves in a cycle of self destruction brought on by an inability to find their purpose or place in the world.”

It's a fully charged song that any rock fan will love some aspects of, so go sink your teeth into it now.
