Bursting out of Syracuse, NY is Shallow Alcove with their nostalgic new single, "Blonde Phase", which marks the first release since 2021's EP
The entrance to the song is so heartwarming it feels as if you've been brought inside from the freezing winter cold. The vocals are quick to enter and what we have here are some tones that fans of Beabadoobee, Wolf Alice, and Sigrid would love - they're just so smooth and captivating.
it looks like big things are to come from one of New York state's rising Indie acts.
Instrumentally the song has a lot going for it, there are some synthy sirens heard in the bridges, chunky basslines throughout, and chiming guitars balanced off with more alternative noises you'd expect to hear in a 90s track by The Cure.
The chorus is so damn charming, if you're not won over by this point you need to get your taste checked! Since the start Shallow Alcove has earned a loyal fan base from their EP "Acting Tough" and from their spring tour with Charlie Burg and Laura Elliott, it looks like big things are to come from one of New York state's rising Indie acts.
