Today is the release date of Catastrophe & Cure's moody new single, "Not Me Not Now". With well over a million plays on Spotify it's no wonder that the Vienna based band are onto something, as this new offering is one of their biggest and moodiest tracks yet.
"Not Me Not Now" is equally venerable and yet powerful throughout!
In the UK we have a band called October Drift, and Catastrophe & Cure reminds me very much of them. We've got plenty of moody vocals perfectly hazed backed up with some truly sonic guitar sounds on a canvas of dreamy percussion.
The chorus is where you need to be as when it drops it's ever so expansive, it elevates them to a stadium ready type of sound that you can draw comparisons to with the likes of Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age.
"Not Me Not Now" is equally venerable and yet powerful throughout, it's a must listen for all you alt-rock fans out there!
