London's very own Modern Guilt has returned with their seductive new tune, "How To Buy Happiness", which carries on from the success of their February release, "Joy Control".
"How To Buy Happiness" is filled with addictive hooks, you'll be soon humming along to this track in no time.
The new offering has a big whiff of charming guitar sounds that sound like Johnny Marr wrote them himself, and with added reverb too. The track is laced with this underlying shimmering breezy vibe that we can only really describe it as surf-revival.
There's a lot of comparisons here to the Beach Boys and of course The Smiths, but when the chorus comes in the soothing vocal melodies and angsty guitars reminds us more of the indie-rock peak in the mid 2000s. It's a driven track that takes the listener on a journey of what the band is all about, and all the while embedding addictive hooks into your brain
