Newcastle's Tired of Fighting late last month returned with their second single of 2022, titled "Hollow" it follows on from the successful single "Chocolate". The previous release saw them get some serious playlisting by curators on Spotify and as a result they got picked up by BBC Introducing Tees and booked for some live shows in 2023.
It's so driving and atmospheric, they've made a track here that will be hard to top!
The new tune is one heck of a slow burner, but I tell you what, it'll be worth the listen. The track opens up with atmospheric synths laced on top of another, before some vocals come in and it feels ever so tender thereafter. It sounds almost like a Ben Howard or Mumford and Sons track it's so stripped back and raw. But then just after the two minute mark it explodes into a wall of sound with soaring guitars and crashing drums.
Vocally the track has the band at their finest, sounding like pop-punk royalty with the urgency of Mallory Knox's delivery. It feels like two tracks in one here, and I got to be honest, I feel like this could be their best track ever, it's so driving, atmospheric and gorgeous. Be sure to follow them to find out where they'll be playing next (and of course for future releases!)
