Touch the Clouds unveils soaring new track, "Gordie and the Cruisers"

Detroit-based quartet Touch the Clouds just this Friday unveiled their soaring new track, "Gordie and the Cruisers". The new offering is the latest single (fourth so far) to be lifted from their upcoming self-titled album.

It's just a matter of time before everyone who loves guitar music will be picking up on them!

Opening up the track is some soaring guitar tones, which basically sets the tone for the duration of the single. There's a wonderful blend of a few genres going on here, vocally it's post-punk/revival like Bloc Party and yet in the chorus there's a delightful piano/glockenspiel tone heard which bring in a lot of light to the track.

It's an anthem waiting to be discovered, and if you like your mid 00s indie-rock then this track is going to hit a throwback chord with you. There's no denying that their forthcoming album is going to be one to keep an eye on when it releases, they've had some great press and Spotify placements leading up to this single.
