Josephine releases her retro new tune, Cat Mama

Following swiftly on from her EP "Paradise," the UAS-based singer-songwriter Josephine is back with a new single. Titled "Cat Mama", the single was inspired by the 1960s science fiction novel, 'The Drowned World'.

The song is reminiscent of those legendary Folk musicians who have leaned towards the Indie scene think Fleet Foxes and the grand sounds of Sharon Von Etten.

The single doesn't just take inspiration from the novel, but it sounds like Josephine has also taken inspiration from the 1960s pop scene too, with some tones that you'd expect to hear in jukeboxes all over the USA in 1968.

The mood of the song is so warm and glowing, with some intricate guitars laced on top of her stunning voice. The whole song sounds reminiscent of those legendary Folk musicians who have leaned towards the Indie scene think Fleet Foxes and the grand sounds of Sharon Von Etten.
