Irish trio Spearside have returned with their first track since 2022's "Crack In Your Brain", the new offering "Not Up To Much" carries on the fine form that the Trim-based band had from their previous two cuts. Lead by brothers OisÃn (vocals/guitar) and Cian Walsh (vocals/bass), along with their friend Dylan Zovich (drums) the sound they've created sounds so much bigger than what you'd expect from a trio.

The tune literally bursts into life as soon as you hit play, and what you're welcomed with is a mix of jangly guitars and crunching bass all mixed in with pulsating drums. Vocally it's hazy, borderline surf rather psychadelic but that's their sound and we love it.
With love already from BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio 1 the sky is the limit for this Irish trio, and long may they continue creating exciting music such as this!
