Coming out of The Bronx, NY is City Island and the duo has recently dropped their slick video for their latest tune, "Prison Walls".
The song from the American duo is one of those tracks that can quite easily tug at your heart and make you shed a tear. Vocally it's soft with equally delicate instrumentation, and that mood has transcended from audio format to visual with the music video showcasing quite literally how big they can get.
A moody track with a perfect video that can really grip you and give you plenty of emotions running through your veins.
The first minute has a palate of mainly black, grey and white - almost setting the tone for the viewer for a moody offering. Light flows through the video as the song carries on, symbolizing the ray of hope that you have, and considering this video was written about isolation during the pandemic it can resonate with almost everyone in the world.
It's a touching song with an emotive vibe that resonated with me, and the fact that the video is a perfect representation of the tone of the song is a testament to the band.
The video was made in collaboration with Owen Dubeck .
