RHEIN unveils debut single, "Open dak"

Coming out of the scene in The Netherlands, Nijmengen to be specific, is RHEIN. The trio has last month unveiled their debut single, "Open dak" and it's an art-rock fans daydream.

It's one of the first songs I have reviewed in the Dutch language, and to be hones this may have opened a new avenue of bands to me. The vocals here are rather moody and reminds me a rainy evening at the tail end of Summer.

Dreamy, arty and moody - if you like to expand your musical horizons then do delve into this rising Dutch band before everyone does!

The track is laced with crisp percussion, bouncy licks of guitar and it's all wrapped up in this wonderful sheen thanks to the production of the track being incredible. For a debut single this is pretty impressive, and even more so that it's in a language I know nothing of - but it feels familiar as it's closely related to English.
