Hailing from Melbourne in Australia is singer-songwriter liarbird, and just two days saw her reveal her new track, "i woke up today just to see if u had called". The new track is her third since she started to release music back in 2016 and it's a delicate blend of lo-fi tones and acoustic charm.

It's very obvious from the start of the track that it'll lean on the vocals of liarbird a lot, and that's key to the success of the single as the voice she's got is a fine balance of raw emotions and flawless note-hitting.
The instrumentation on "i woke up today just to see if u had called" is incredibly simple, but with it being as such it lets the listener get lost in the track. Even though it's less than three minutes long it really captured my heart and is already into my personal 'laidback' playlist for those evenings when I want to disconnect from the world.
