Hailing from Florida is Morning Trips and just yesterday saw the quartet unveil their electronically charged song, "8-bit". The new offering acts as their third single release of 2023 and features the previous single "Process" as the b-side (so if you instantly want more tunes to sink into it's good news).
A wonderfully charged slice of electro-pop with a subtle hint of dream-pop elements.

Much as you'd expect with a song titled "8-bit" is that it's very much leaning towards the electro-side of the pop spectrum. What we have here is a very processed drumbeat opening up the song with skittering sounds offering the listener's ears plenty to get into from the off.
With some airy synth moments added in as the song goes on they work wonderfully with the equally as airy vocals, which are perfectly mixed that you'd be easily able to sing along to the chorus by the time the track has finished.
