The Brooklyn-based act Two-Man Giant Squid dropped their brand new tune, "Progress", and since its release on Friday, it's got into our heads like an infectious earworm. With an album and a single released back in 2022, it saw them rise rather quickly on the local scene, and by the sounds of it, they're looking to take over the whole scene in the USA.

"Progress" opens up with chunky bass and guitars before a bright sheen rolls over the top and the tempo kicks up a notch. Vocally it's incredibly charging, and be warned, I feel like if you listen to this while driving a car your right foot may just get heavy!
"Progress" is a frantic slice of punk-rock with some retro-tinted hard-rock moments, but regardless of genre, I loved this cut from the first play. Seemingly on the rise Two-Man Giant Squid could be the next big rock band to break out of New York!
