Back with his second single of the year is London-based singer-songwriter Spy From Moscow, the new cut - "Whispering In The Walls" - was released just a few days ago, and it's already winning us over. Spy From Moscow does not hangs about and the track delves deep into your ears right away with a dark sounding guitar tone twanging away, and it's not long after his smooth and soulful vocals roll over.
... it's absolutely fantastic and a real treat for your ears.
I get some slight Radiohead tones from the sound of the song, mixed in with some late 90s grunge for good measure. The harmonies especially in the first third of the song hooked me in with intrigue, and it's the soaring Oasis-style guitars that confirmed my interest.
The single also acts as the second taste of his forthcoming album, with two more singles planned to be released from it before Christmas. The fact that this song is a lengthy one does not put m off one bit, in fact the best instrumental parts are found in the final minute, simply put, it's absolutely fantastic and a real treat for your ears.
