Now four singles in this year is JW Paris and last week saw the trio share their nostalgia filled new tune, "Alive". If you're a fan of the 1990s grunge scene you'll love what these three are all about.
A fantastic example of what grunge can sound like with a 2020's twist on it.
It all kicks off with a jangly guitar laced in fuzz, shortly after the charged vocals come in and the track takes on this late-night mosh-pit vibe. The bass on "Alive" is soaring, and when I had the track cranked up to the max I felt like my speaker setup was going to explode.
Speaking about the track the trio say - "It’s a conversation between your own internal monologue and your authenticity, in a world of deep fakes, AI and incredible social tensions."
I already mentioned the vocals but what JW Paris has are tones that can have you ready to sing back to the track easily on the second play. Add in the strong backing vocals perfectly harmonizing and you're not far off a hat would be considered a grunge track for the modern ages.
If you like what you hear be sure to delve into their other tunes, and of course see if they're playing live - I feel like their shows could be off the hook good!
