Toronto-based trio SwiiMS have just released their jangly and melodic new track "Fade Days". The new cut is their second of the year and is one of the key tracks on their debut album, titled "Into The Blue Night", which is out now.
Nostalgic, warm, and hazy - the holy trinity of sounds to create a truly atmospheric dream-pop track.
The sounds heard on "Fade Days" are so damn nostalgic, jangly tones are heard on the song, and for me, I get big feels of The Smiths and The Cure especially. But here what SWiiMS has done is include its own brand of hazy overtones giving it a clean sun-kissed feel.
Honestly, if you closed your eyes you'd be easily convinced you're basking in sunshine as it's so washed over with dreamy soundscapes and bright elements. Vocally it's their best yet, and if this is a reflection of the rest of the album then we may just have a modern classic in the waiting room!
