Just under a month ago saw the Chicago-based quartet of Koalra reveal their nostalgic new single, "Undertow". The single has since been released on their latest album, "Disasterclass", which is surely going to give them plenty of momentum for the next twelve months.
"Undertow" this is a fantastic slice of noise-rock that will certainly get you interested in the band enough to delve into their latest album!
It's one of those tracks that gets right into the good stuff within the first second, you're welcomed in with this warm and hazy vocal tone that almost caresses your hand leading you deeper into the track.
The track instrumentally is very sonic, with dreamy effects laced upon the guitars, a tight drum section, and plenty of psychedelic noises swirling about. I also got this huge 90s nostalgic feel about it, which somewhat shows my age, but overall this is a fantastic slice of noise-rock that will certainly get you interested in the band enough to delve into their new LP.
