Pioneers release their nostalgic sounding new tune, "Old Ways"

With various plays on the likes of BBC Introducing and having performed at the Isle of Wight Festival the Southampton-based Pioneers are on the lips of everyone it seems in the South of England.

I doubt they'll just be dominating their local scene with tracks like this now being out in the public domain, just keep an eye on these lot, they sound like they're the full package and have huge promise.

Today sees the outfit release their nostalgic-sounding new tune, "Old Ways", and when I mean nostalgic I mean of the mid to late 2000s. The intro alone is key to getting any new listener engaged I have to admit I was feeling it right from the get-go with that funky guitar ticking away and the sizzling drumbeat.

As soon as the track kicks into gear you get a dollop of cowbell, and if anyone knows me I am a sucker for a cowbell - I swear it always enhances upbeat upbeat indie tunes! The vocals on this just scream arena-filling crowd-pleasers with the drumbeat also suggesting this was written to close their sets, as it's just a pure rush and has an incredibly dancey feel to it.
